Napkin Poms

This DIY project from Martha Stewart would be perfect for adding texture to a table. Read below for complete directions on this project:
Pom-Poms:
You'll need tissue paper and 24-gauge white cloth-covered floral wire.
Hanging Pom-Poms:
1. Stack eight 20-by-30-inch sheets of tissue. Make 1 1/2-inch wide accordion folds, creasing with each fold.
2. Fold an 18-inch piece of floral wire in half, and slip over center of folded tissue; twist. With scissors, trim ends of tissue into rounded or pointy shapes.
3. Separate layers, pulling away from center one at a time.
4. Tie a length of monofilament to floral wire for hanging.
Napkin Rings:
With just a few changes, you can make Napkin Rings. Follow these steps:
1. Stack four sheets of tissue. Cut a 10-by-5-inch rectangle, going through all layers. Make 3/8-inch-wide accordion folds.
2. Fold an 18-inch piece of floral wire in half, slip over center of tissue, and twist to secure. Trim ends of tissue.
3. Separate layers, pulling away from center one at a time.
4. Bend wire into a loop to fit around napkin, and twist end around loop to secure.

Wedding Envy

Check out this gorgeous wedding by Amorology, I have serious wedding envy! I love the vintage umbrellas, and the incorporation of pearls into the brides bouquet. The tables at the reception were also gorgeous, I loved the slate colored skirts with the peach napkins. The colors they used created such a romantic feel, and they are similar to the ones I am thinking about using for my own wedding.

Thoughtful Detail

I came across this thoughtful idea on Victoria with Roses: Show your guests how much their presence means to you by writing each guest a short letter. Hand write each letter on pretty scrapbook paper, roll them up like scrolls, and finish them off with a small ribbon. Then place each personalized letter at the guests seat. This is such a lovely way to show your guests some good ol' southern hospitality! And even better, it's a great DIY project that won't break your bank!

The Magic of a Southern Wedding

To me a Southern Wedding embodies Grace, Beauty, Family Tradition, and plenty of Good ole' Southern Hospitality. There is something about a Southern Wedding that is truely magical. I hope to create a wedding that embodies Southern Charm and portrays our love as a couple.
